This activity is intended for physicians engaged in inpatient or ambulatory care of Medicare fee-for-service patients.
The goal of this activity is to describe strategies the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have undertaken to reduce Medicare and Medicaid fraud while improving services for valid providers.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  1. Describe steps CMS and other agencies are taking to investigate suspected fraud and abuse
  2. Review strategies that providers can use to reduce the risk of fraud and abuse for their practice and their patients
